28 de agosto, 1963: MLK

Forty-seven years ago, at a peaceful rally in Washington, a Baptist minister named Martin Luther King Jr. was preparing to be the final speaker. Like the other speakers of that day, his prepared remarks were limited to seven minutes. But standing there in front of the crowd of 250,000, King became overwhelmed and broke into one of the most famous refrains in American history. "I have a dream," he announced, the shadow of Lincoln behind his back, "that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.'
